About the Project:
The Advantis Credit Union project was completed in the fall of 2022, running approximately 8 months from March through the end of October. Scope included the supply and install of insulated metal panels, aluminum composite panels, custom-fabricated sheet metal panels, metal roofing and sidewall panels, thermal break furring assembly with rockwool insulation, Swiss Pearl fiber cement panels, expansion joints, and sheet metal flashing and trim.
Insulated metal wall panels — manufactured and purchased through Kingspan — made up the entirety of the exterior siding for Building 3, a maintenance and recreational building set apart from the two main connected buildings. Panels alternated between a dark gray metallic smooth panel and a black mini-micro rib textured panel. Installation used a company-owned vacuum lifter and reach forklift provided by Pape.
Both the aluminum composite panels and the Swiss Pearl fiber cement panels were fabricated in-house on TT&L's 7'x18' AXYZ CNC router. Typical lead time from measurement to jobsite delivery averaged 5 business days.
The standing seam panels were manufactured by Morin. The SLR-12 panel was designed to give the visual appearance of a knee-break panel — with a built-in stainless steel gutter located just behind the vertical wall panels. The gutter was formed on TT&L's Jorns Twinmatic 26'4" folding break, with all joints riveted and soldered for longevity.
TT&L also manufactured two additional wall panel designs — a traditional concealed-fastener box rib and a custom exposed-fastener v-panel — to meet the architect's design intent.
