A closer look at where our work ends up.

Projects

Since 1978, TT&L Sheet Metal has fabricated custom architectural sheet metal for projects throughout the Pacific Northwest.

From schools and civic buildings to commercial developments and institutional campuses, our work supports the architects, contractors, and building teams responsible for bringing complex projects to life.

The projects below offer a glimpse into the range of buildings, materials, and fabrication capabilities that move through our shop every day.

PROJECTS

Recent trade partner work where early involvement changed the outcome.

Confidential Technology Campus

Vancouver, Washington · 2024–2026

TT&L's largest project to date — $12M of custom panel fabrication and installation for a major technology campus. Brought in as an early trade partner, we constructed an in-place mockup in our shop before any details were locked, which uncovered alignment issues that were solved well before mobilization. The project included 65,000+ square feet of custom-fabricated metal wall panels, 90,000+ square feet of custom roof panels, and 450,000 pounds of custom-color sheet metal — all purchased in one production run to maintain finish consistency across the entire project.

Scope: Custom architectural panels, custom roof panels, ACM, mechanical mezzanine grating, louvers

Center for Deaf and Hard of Hearing Youth

Vancouver, Washington · Architect: Mithun

Selected as a design-assist trade partner on this $1.98M project with the Mithun design team. Starting from a review of previous custom panel projects, we worked with the architects to draft four panel design options, built mockups, and landed on two final panel styles plus custom corners. The budget that opened up from staying within the original envelope allowed the design team to invest in betterments — including the screen walls around the mechanical units and the "Art Gate" centerpiece connecting the academic wing and the new PE building.

Scope: Custom exterior metal wall panels, screen walls, art panels

Gardner Middle School

Oregon City, Oregon

A $2.24M design-assist engagement built around bi-weekly meetings with the architect, the envelope consultant, and the framing subcontractor. We met during late schematic design, before details were locked, and helped specify higher-quality, lower-cost alternatives for the thermal cladding support system, metal panel assemblies, and WRB. By 50% CDs we had reduced the overall project budget by over $100,000. Once awarded, the project came in with less than 1% change orders.

Scope: Design-assist envelope consulting, custom panels, metal cladding

Advantis Credit Union Corporate Headquarters

Lake Oswego, Oregon · 2022

A $4.1M envelope project completed across eight months. The scope included Insulated Metal Panels (Kingspan), Aluminum Composite Panels, custom-fabricated sheet metal panels, metal roofing and sidewall panels, thermal break furring assembly with rockwool insulation, Swiss Pearl Fiber Cement panels, and expansion joints. The standing seam panels — Morin SLR-12 — were paired with built-in stainless-steel gutters formed on our 26'4" Jorns Twinmatic, with the gutter taper formed using the brake's CNC back-gauge.

Scope: Insulated metal panels, ACM, standing seam roofing, fiber cement, custom sheet metal

Hidden Creek Community Center

Hillsboro, Oregon · 2020

A $1.18M envelope project with weather barrier, green-girt thermal break furring, custom-fabricated metal wall panels, and 18-gauge custom break shapes. The primary panel was a custom design with tapered ribs and concealed fasteners on 12-inch spacing. We provided value engineering savings by switching the specified 22-gauge material to 24-gauge — close-set bends made the lighter material more than adequate, with no oil canning.

Scope: Custom metal wall panels, weather barrier system, custom break shapes

We come in early, fabricate in our shop, and install on the job site — or ship anywhere in the U.S. The earlier we're at the table, the more we can do.
